4. | Description | Abstract | This article aims to restore and problematize the Althusser’s reading of Machiavelli during the seventies and the eighties, guided by the intuition that, fruit of that reading, Althusser operates a shift in his own philosophy marked by the passage of the need for the structure and science into the contingency of history. To these effects, this text offers a close reading of Althusser’s works that show his particular interpretation of Machiavelli as a materialist philosopher. |
